New studio & gallery Rick Triest | Expected late 2026

Introduction

After many years of working from my home-based studio and gallery, a new chapter is beginning. In late 2026, I will be trading this familiar space for a new, larger location where my studio and gallery will come together.

From home studio to a new gallery

For years, my current studio has been much more than just a workspace. It is where new paintings and collections were created, where I welcomed clients during open studio days, and where thousands of artworks found their way to new owners in the Netherlands and far beyond.

Living, painting, and running a business all came together here. That is precisely why leaving this place behind feels so significant.

However, my work and my collection have grown over the years. With that growth came the need for a space that offers more room for what I want to create and showcase in the future.

The new Rick Triest Studio & Gallery

In late 2026, Rick Triest Studio & Gallery will move to a larger location. It will be a place where the studio and gallery are more distinctly separated, yet remain part of a single, unified world.

There will be more space for large paintings, new collections, and rotating exhibitions—as well as a place where you can view my work at your leisure and see exactly where it is created.

In the coming months, I will share more details about the new location and my plans.

A new location also means a fresh start.

I do not intend to take my entire current collection to the new studio. That is why I am using the period leading up to the move to make space.

Consequently, a large number of original paintings from the existing collection have been temporarily marked down. This is not because these works have become any less important, but rather because I would love for them to find a new home before the move.

In this way, the current Rick Triest Sale literally marks the transition from the old to the new.

Looking ahead 

Until the move, the current studio will remain open during announced open studio days and by appointment.

In the meantime, I am continuing to work on new paintings and collections that will eventually become part of the new gallery.

Gradually, I will reveal more about the location, the interior, and, of course, the official opening.
