Active as an artist for over 15 years, he employs a refined painting style to create work that stands out and is unique within the art world. As a self-taught artist, Rick is constantly developing new techniques and forms of artistic expression on canvas and other media.

Rick builds his Amsterdam paintings using thick layers of paint and works with a distinctive style that serves as his signature. The thick gold line work that finishes his pieces instantly evokes images of Amsterdam during the Golden Age.

Windmills and the Dutch landscape have been key subjects in Dutch painting for centuries. Triest translates this tradition into his own recognizable visual language, featuring bold Dutch hues, loose brushwork, and characteristic gold lines.

Framing Studio

In addition to his studio and gallery, Rick has a dedicated space where he crafts his own frames and frames his work. The frames are carefully handmade using professional equipment. All available frames can be viewed in the studio. The delivery time for a frame is approximately 14 days.
